I think the change can also be blamed on his decreasing eyesight (unable to read the teleprompter like he used to) and his decreased hearing ability, unable to follow the prompts from his earpiece. This plus his dementia makes me wonder why he has not joined in MY reindeer games of "how many L's in Halloween" and "what did you have for breakfast." Ah George, welcome to our world.....
